Weekends are so precious. My husband and I don't see each other during the week (except for breakfast) because he works crazy hours. Because of this the time is so valuable to us we always try and get the most out of it.
Saturday he works so I met a friend for coffee in my favourite deli and cafe Jacobs & Field (their flat whites rock my world). Also everything they make is delicious and they sell the best quality (and some of the cheapest) local food around. I made a huge homemade lasagne and we read books for the rest of the day. Bliss.
Sundays are my favourite day of the whole week. Something so delicate about a day off yet knowing you have to go back to work in the morning. Sundays here are reserved for doing as little as possible. We normally worship together and then have lunch. Today we discovered a local park nearby and went for a good old autumnal romp, it was over cast and even rained but I love the rain in the woods, makes everything come alive. We returned home soaked, changed, made huge mugs of tea and then read our books before yet more lasagne!
Weekends are total bliss. How do you love to spend these precious moments?
